Spanish Riding School - Morning Exercise
A fantastic opportunity to experience a traditional training session with the Lipizzaner horses at the Spanish Riding School of Vienna. This renowned institution trains these beautiful stallions and their riders to achieve the refined elegance of the ‘Haute École’ of classical equestrianism.
Each rider at the Spanish Riding School is responsible for several horses and it is together, rider and stallion, that they attain a relationship of impeccable harmony. The objectives of the training are the maintenance of the horses’ health and athleticism, as well as the strengthening of the muscle groups required for the incredible movements of the Renaissance ‘Haute École’ of classical equestrianism. The work ensures that the horses’ natural movements – which the ‘Haute École’ takes as the basis for the training – are transformed into the perfectly refined movements on display here.
Enjoy a unique experience contemplating the Lipizzan horses’ morning exercise, which is accompanied by classical music, at the historic venue of the Winter Riding School at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna – one of the world’s most beautiful riding halls.
