Strauss Dinner Show

Strauss Dinner Show

Offering an experience of breathtaking entertainment and exquisite cuisine, Strauss Dinner Show is an extravaganza that combines the culinary excellence of Vienna with the city's other great tradition, the waltz. The show takes audiences on an unforgettable journey through the world-famous waltzes of Johann Strauss the Younger, such as the incomparable Blue Danube Waltz, plus various lively polkas and the irrepressible Radetzky March, written by Strauss' father. With a mouth-watering multi-course menu, attendees can celebrate the delights of Viennese food culture along with the musical legacy of Strauss, a composer who lit up the Austrian capital during its cultural heyday.

The renowned Johann Strauss Philharmonic Orchestra, among the most impressive ensembles in Vienna, provides the music. The orchestra has devoted itself to perfecting the waltzes, polkas and marches of Johann Strauss, thereby providing a musical specialism that is dedicated solely to the enchanting music of the Waltz King, as Strauss is often known. In addition, various outstanding soprano singers provide vocals throughout sections of the programme. To cap it off, a number of world-famous conductors are also on hand at different times to lead the ensemble.

Given the performance is dedicated to the lively dance music of Strauss the Younger, professional dancers complete the entertainment. Several choreographic gems were created for the Strauss Dinner Show by Annkathrin Dehn. Her vivid choreography is performed by members of the illustrious Vienna Royal Ballet which combines the elegant world of dance with Strauss' enchanting melodies. With impressive show interludes, exquisite ballet and interactive performances, Strauss Dinner Show provides up-close entertainment like nothing else the city has to offer.

The show takes place at the Mirage, a venue in the heart of the Prater Park, with a fantastically evocative atmosphere plus good parking and public transport connections in its immediate vicinity. The charming venue provides comfortable seating for dining with an exceptional sound system and stage so that all attendees will be able to relax and enjoy both the show and the music. The four-course menu features Austrian gastronomy with suitable alternatives for vegetarians and children, thereby ensuring everyone can enjoy Strauss Dinner Show no matter what their culinary preferences may be. Dining is provided within the show's ticket price, while alcoholic drinks and other beverages are available on a separate drinks menu.
